Good or Bad Time to Sell Your Novato Home?
The truth is that every market is different, and here in Marin, and specifically Novato, it is a good time to sell. Here’s why:
In the Novato real estate market, sale prices are up. In July, The median sale price of a single-family home was $1,294,000. That’s up 16% over July of 2023.
41% of homes are selling with multiple offers. The average sale is closing for almost 2% over the list price.
46% of homes are selling to all-cash buyers. That means no loans, no appraisals, no financing contingency. That’s up from 8% in the first quarter of 2024.
Finally, homes are selling in 33 days on average. That means many are getting under contract quickly and then going through a short escrow period.
