There are bright spots in the real estate market, especially in Hamilton Field, Novato!
Yes, rising interest rates have slowed buying activity. But there is still demand, especially for homes with updated finishes, special features or a compelling price.
In the 3rd quarter of this year, July-September, the median home sale price in Hamilton for a detached, single-family home was $1,275,000. That’s down less than 3 percent from the previous summer. Sale prices in the broader Novato market were down 8 percent from the previous summer.
The median sale price for townhomes in Hamilton Park in Q3 was $840,000, which was the same as in summer 2022.
