Pointe Marin Novato Real Estate Update | Fall 2023 (Video)

Ignacio’s Pointe Marin neighborhood in Novato is one of the most desirable areas to live in Marin County. Even though rising interest rates have slowed buying activity, there is still demand, especially for homes with updated finishes and larger-than-typical yards.

In the 3rd quarter of this year, July-September, the median home sale price in Pointe Marin was $1,600,000. That’s down 18% percent from summer 2022. The homes sold this past summer happened to be about 500 square feet smaller on average, so that contributed to the lower prices overall. But of course it’s also because the overheated (and unsustainable) 2022 market cooled as interest rates climbed.

Sale prices in the broader Novato market were down 8 percent from the previous summer.
