I've lived in my house in Novato for 15 years, and even when we moved in in 2005, I knew I would use Team McGinnis to sell my house one day, and I am so glad I did. My wife and I started our process to sell our home in January 2020 and wanted to work with the best agents we could find in Marin. We sent out an RFP and receieved 5 proposals. When the time came to sell our home, we wanted realtors that understood the Novato market, knew the ins and outs of city inspections/permits, provide staging, and make the process as pain-free as possible.

Kevin and Erin were a great team to work with. Kevin handled most of the behind the scenes aspects, like the city inspections & permits, which was something we had significant concerns about. But he knew exactly what needed to be done, made it quite easy.

We saw more of Erin, as she was at our home more getting it spruced up for sale. We very happy that they offered us staging as part of their service, and Erin just did a great job of making our house look amazing! Every room was attended to with great care, and it really was fabulous.

Selling a house can be a highly stressful experience but not when you have Kevin and Erin McGinnis on your side! We worked with Team McGinnis on the sale of our Novato home and the entire process turned out to be easy, seamless, and in some cases downright FUN! From beginning to end my husband and I were impressed with their professionalism, market knowledge, attention to detail, and communication style.

When you work with the McGinnis team you really are getting two stellar agents for the price of one! In the first phase of the sale, we worked closely with Erin who put us in touch with a fabulous contractor who helped us get the house ready to stage and sell. Erin had a “battle plan” from the get go with a precise outline of schedules, tasks to be completed, and a room by room description of what we were to do to get each ready for staging. She was constantly over at our home, working closely with the contractor, scheduling a pre-sale inspection, grabbing supplies at the hardware store, and giving us valuable tips every step of the way. The McGinnis team offers staging as part of their package at no extra cost and our house looked open, inviting, and beautiful in every way.

Kevin took over when our house was ready to sell. He gave us good advice on pricing our house to compete with the many homes available on the market at the time. After every open house he gave us a detailed description of each person or group who came to view our home and even added their comments when available. Given the market we were in, our home took a little longer to sell than we expected, but Kevin kept us informed on a daily basis and was our constant cheerleader keeping us positive and upbeat throughout. When we ran into a last minute snag with our solar company regarding the transfer of solar panels on our home, Kevin was there to work it through and smooth things over with the prospective buyers.
